Retromedia Entertainment Still Stealing

Retromedia Entertainment, while being sued for copyright infringements by Shout Factory, cannot get away from their old tricks, but also cannot hide behind illegal sub distribution deals to cover up their criminal actions as they go on doing business as usual.

In the early days of the dispute between Retromedia and Bill Rebane, the moment they were sued by yours truly in 2004 for lack of accounting, co-mingling of funds and selling over territorial lines, they committed perjury to force corrupt arbitration proceedings that resulted in a bogus arbitration award through equally corrupt single arbitrator Harris Tulchin of Los Angeles — who got a pretty penny for his illegal deed. In the continuing investigation of Retromedia's practices, other illegal dealings have come to light. Shortly after they were first sued in 2004, master crook Fred Olen Ray took the major potion of his stock of DVD's and sold it under the Retro Label to Ventura Entertainment (since then out of business) who, in turn, under their banner sold The Giant Spider Invasion and Nightmare to foreign distributors in foreign countries for which Retromedia never had a license. Fortunately, the foreign distributors did not bother to take the Retromedia artwork or name off their advertising, providing proof today of how Fred Olen Ray committed the frauds.

Another one of Retromedia's tricks was discovered in a document in form of an assignment contract of Bill Rebane titles to Image Entertainment. A sub licensing transaction never permitted under any old licensing agreement with the licensor.

Thanks to the vast information available on the internet, more and more violations by Retromedia and their illegal marketing of unlicensed materials are discovered.

Now, as announced prior, this writer has signed a royalty recovery agreement with Artists Limited of Kansas, a royalty tracking and recovery company. Retromedia and Fred Olen Ray will have to come up with eight years of accounting of not only North American sales but also global illegal marketing as well. May be the IRS will love it too.

A bigger bombshell has also been discovered: Both Image Entertainment and Retromedia have the same sheister for legal counsel, namely one Vince Ravine.•••
